BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is booked and busy! After wrapping up Newtopia in 2025, she is jumping straight into a brand new Netflix romantic comedy titled Boyfriend On Demand. Netflix surprised fans by dropping the very first photos of Jisoo as Seo Mi Rae during its What’s Next announcements for 2026. The series stars Jisoo alongside Seo In Guk and is directed by Kim Jung Sik, who also worked on No Gain No Love.

The drama follows Mi Rae (Jisoo), a burned-out webtoon producer who escapes real life through a subscription-based virtual dating program called Monthly Boyfriend. In this digital world, she gets to date her dream guy and live the romance she feels is missing in her everyday life. Joining her, Seo In Guk plays Park Kyeong Nam, Mi Rae’s colleague and fellow webtoon producer.
The series will span ten episodes and was originally developed for MBC before moving to Netflix as a global original project. Filming took place in the Philippines, lending the story a fresh visual look that transcends typical Korean drama settings. While Netflix has not announced an exact premiere date for the show, it is rumored to be dropped in February 2026.
