BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has been the talk of the town because of the recent events in her life, her official relationship announcement with Ahn Bo-Hyun, and recently it was reported she is going to star in a K-Drama. This wonderful news made her fans, better known as BLINKS, crazy because they already stated she could dethrone ‘Squid Game.’
South Korean media outlet, YNT reported that Jisoo is going to start in ‘Influenza’ which is already seeking to dethrone ‘Squid Game.’ The K-drama seems to be promising after it was revealed that one of the creators was the same who created the global phenomenon, ‘Parasite’ which achieved an Oscar for Best Picture as the first non-English language film to win the Academy Award.
This K-drama is going to be framed around a zombie apocalypse. Jisoo is going to play Young-joo, who is recovering from a heartbreak while she faces the apocalypse looking for ways to save herself despite being sheltered her whole life. ‘Influenza’s plot already captivated millions of fans around the world, who are eagerly waiting for them to release it.
YG Entertainment also addressed the situation, stating she is already in talks about the project. The series has a clear objective, dethroning ‘Squid Game’ as one of the most influential and successful South Korean series the directors’ secret weapon would be Jisoo’s immense popularity around the world because of her solo music and BLACKPINK’s music as well.
