BLACKPINK’s Jennie has made an astonishing comeback to the Kpop industry with the release of her new single, “Less Than a Lover.” The idol is already commanding the biggest musical markets, including the iTunes charts.
On July 25 KST, OA Entertainment, Jennie’s music agency, announced the single reached the #1 spot on the iTunes Top Songs Charts in 27 countries and regions, including Brazil, the Philippines, and Indonesia, marking the highest number of regional #1s achieved by a K-pop solo song released this year.
Jennie’s rising success comes after the notorious attention of her collaborative track “Dracula” with Australian band Tame Impala held strong at #5 for a second consecutive week on the US Billboard Hot 100 as of July 25. It is expected that “Less Than a Lover” will become the new summer anthem by the BLACKPINK member in different regions, including the American market. Did you like the new track?
