On Thursday, January 26th, the South Korean idol released a behind-the-scenes video of her preparation for her solo performance. Meanwhile, the BLACKPINK member also sat down to talk about the new song and surprised fans with how old it is. ()
“It’s a song called You & Me. I made the recording about 3~4 years ago“, the idol started saying.

She also revealed that it was written around the time of her track “SOLO” and that it was on the list of songs that she would release on her solo debut or for something later.
“It was in the closet for a while“, added Jennie.
For the “BORN PINK” tour the girls seemed to have more creative freedom and more control of the show, so she explained that she personally wanted to show the song on tour.
“But while I was preparing for this concert, I thought about what kind of performance and songs I wanted to do and looked through songs with Teddy. We decided to bring out that song we liked and that’s when we started to prepare for it“.
The singer also how she had a vision for her performance and worked with choreographers to make it a reality.
“I had all these ideas in my head about how I wanted to perform it, so Eunchong and Jung are helping me make it come true.”
After introducing her, fans hope that the K-Pop girl group member will be able to perform her more often in performances and even officially release it.
