BLACKPINK’s Jennie released her first studio album, “Ruby,” which was highly praised by critics due to its versatility and incursion in different genres outside of the Kpop industry. The idol’s efforts finally paid off in different South Korean music programs.
On March 27, a new episode of the South Korean music program, M Countdown, had a great lineup including NMIXX, NCT’s Ten, THE BOYZ’s Juyeon, Bada Lee (of BEBE), izna’s Koko, THE BOYZ, Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji, Seo In Guk, PLAVE, LE SSERAFIM, Xdinary Heroes, STAYC, KiiiKiii, TNX, SAY MY NAME, NEWBEAT, The Wind, NouerA, U-KISS’s Soohyun, and ONE OR EIGHT to hype the audience.
However, the highlight of the night was the candidates for first place in the show. NMIXX’s “KNOW ABOUT ME” and BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s “Like JENNIE,” were a close race to the crown. However, Jennie’s “Like JENNIE,” took the prize with 6,719 points and became the second win for the idol with her song. Congratulations to Jennie!
