BLACKPINK member Jennie has donated 100 million won to help elderly families stay warm during the cold winter. Her contribution was announced on February 24, 2026, through Sean’s campaign called Raise Korea’s Temperature by 1 Degree. For her donation, Jennie combined part of the profits from her January exhibition, “J2NNI5,” with personal funds. The money will go to the Coal Briquette Bank, which supports vulnerable households during cold months.

According to the campaign, 100 million won can purchase 112,000 coal briquettes. This amount can provide heating for 560 households for one month. Following her contribution, Sean publicly thanked Jennie and said her support would help make Korea warmer this winter. The donation certificate listed her full name, Kim Jennie, highlighting the personal meaning behind her gesture.

“With 100 million Korean won, 112,000 coal briquettes can be purchased, allowing 560 households to use them for a month during the cold winter. For some, coal briquettes are not a choice but an essential item to survive the winter,” Sean said. He added a note of gratitude, expressing, “Jennie, thank you for making Korea a little warmer!”
Jennie’s donation comes just days before BLACKPINK releases their third mini-album DEADLINE on February 27, 2026. This marks the girl group’s first musical project since 2022’s “Born Pink.” Notably, the quartet toured the world with the Deadline Tour but had only released one new song titled “Jump,” which will also be included in the upcoming EP. In addition, a special collaboration event will take place at the National Museum of Korea from February 27 to March 8, where the building will light up in pink to celebrate the comeback. Inside the museum, a dedicated listening zone will be installed, allowing fans and visitors to hear the project.
