A power solo act and a hit-making group join the lineup
The 17th Melon Music Awards just leveled up! Melon confirmed that BLACKPINK’s Jennie and aespa will appear at MMA2025, set for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome. The event honors the biggest musical achievements of the year based on Melon’s streaming data and fan votes, and adding these two K-pop star acts to the lineup instantly hyped up BLINks and MY (that’s the BLACKPINK and aespa fandom names). Both artists have had strong moments during 2025 in their own lanes and are walking into the Dome with well-deserved nominations.

Jennie’s solo magic and aespa’s back-to-back hits
Jennie is arriving fresh off a milestone year. She released her first full solo album, “Ruby”, in March 2025 and showcased a clear version of herself as a soloist. The single “Like Jennie” debuted on the Melon TOP100 and stayed charted for nine straight months, while also claiming fourteen number one spots on the daily chart. Between her BLACKPINK fame and solo stardom, she is expected to set up MMA2025 the second she steps onto the stage.
Meanwhile, aespa is keeping their own momentum rolling after sweeping seven awards, including a grand prize at MMA2024 with back-to-back hits like “Supernova,” “Armageddon,” and “Whiplash.” This year, the group expanded their sound into pop-rock territory with songs ike “Dirty Work” and “Rich Man,” charting in the upper ranks of Melon’s TOP100.

MMA2025 is shaping up to be a spicy night for K-pop fans around the world.
