BLACKPINK’s Jennie and adidas to release ballet-inspired superstar shoes

BLACKPINK’s Jennie and adidas Originals are gearing up to release a new footwear collaboration on September 1, 2026. New promotional images give a look into the JENNIE x adidas Superstar Square Ballet, a shoe that mixes elements of traditional sportswear with ballet-inspired fashion. The brand and the KPop sensation join forces again to continue strengthening the dance-focused concept introduced in earlier teasers and place Jennie at the center of the campaign as an ambassador.

The Superstar Square Ballet changes several important features of the classic adidas Superstar. Instead of the traditional rounded shell toe, the new version has a wider, square-shaped toe. Traditional shoelaces are also replaced by an elastic strap across the foot, while a small bow adds another ballet-inspired detail. The low-profile shape resembles a ballet flat. However, the Three Stripes maintain the brand’s traditional connection to the original Superstar design.

The shoes will be released in black and white versions. The white model, product code LB3786, combines an Off White base with Core Black stripes. Meanwhile, the black version, LB3787, uses a mainly Core Black upper with lighter elements. The reported US price is $150, and it will reportedly sell for £110 in the UK. South Korea is expected to host the initial release of the footwear, followed by a broader international release.
