BLACKPINK is using their voice to cath the attention of young people to fight the climate change.

The girl group became the ambassadors of the new United Nations campaign on the issue and posted a video on their YouTube channel to raise awareness about it. The group has 54.3 million subscribers on the channel.

“Recently, we have heard a lot of news about climate change. We are not experts and we are not aware of all problems, but we care about our planet and want to learn more. We learned that our world is changing. Every year, we see heatwaves, hot flashes, droughts and floods,”

said the group.

In the video, Lisa comments that she was born in 1997 and that, at that time, 46% of the Earth was made up of natural habitats. Today it is only 35%, and every day it accelerates more.

“These places and the animals and plants that live there are important to this planet. It helps control our climate and provides food, water, and even the air we breathe. It’s not late. We can still decide to improve ”,

they continue.

One of the biggest girl bands of the world ended the video announcing that it will attend the United Nations conference on climate change in November, best known as COP26 in 2021 in the United Kingdom. Leaders from various countries will be available to discuss possibilities and sign agreements to protect the environment.

“This is a global challenge. Each of us can make a difference. We need to act now. This is our planet, this is our future and climate change affects us all ”,

they concluded. You can watch the video below!
