BLACKPINK gained recognition in the K-pop industry with their mega hits which became popular around the world. This has made them as one of the best girl groups of all time, according to several outlets. However, a rising concern among their fans, the so-called BLINKS, does the girls have not renewed their contract with YG Entertainment.
The BLINKS and the international media outlets are eagerly waiting for the outcome between of the successful girl band and their music agency after it was revealed their contract is going to expire in August. This increased the tension in the K-pop scene.
Although, Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo and Lisa are having projects as solo artist, which became successful, the concern about their contract renewal became a public issues. This is because YG Entertainment has not addressed the situation, even when BLACKPINK is the most successful group in their agency.
According to K-Media, YG Entertainment have considered BLACKPINK’s success level has not been reached by any group from their agency, so they are trying to keep BLACKPINK for a couple more years. Although no details have been unveiled yet, the BLINKS are waiting for the announcement of their contract renewal to keep enjoying the girl group’s music.
