BLACKPINK is gearing up for their highly anticipated comeback at the Goyang Sports Complex on July 5, 2025, with the DEADLINE World Tour. Yet, some Korean BLINKs are not waiting to celebrate. Instead, they rolled a bright LED protest truck to YG Entertainment’s doorstep on June 26, 2025. “We are sick of YG’s incompetence” and “This is not a hiatus, it is unfair treatment,” demanding better management and more group music. Their outrage comes days after YG announced that BLACKPINK would premiere their single during the July 5 show, instead of giving fans a more detailed rollout.

Fans highlighted four problems: First, proper respect and resources for Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Second, a full comeback album with at least fifteen tracks instead of a lone single, paired with a high-quality music video released by July 4. Third, production of BLACKPINK Diary 2 plus transparent communication moving forward. Last, an end to what they view as the agency’s habit of delaying projects while milking fan loyalty.

And while the quartet renewed their group contracts with YG Entertainment in 2023, their activities have been perceived as lackluster by some fans. With tour rehearsals in full swing, the truck forces YG to address public dissatisfaction or risk online backlash and criticism. Despite the claims from these angry fans, the company still hasn’t responded to their demands. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is keeping their focus on the upcoming tour, which (at the moment) will be rolled out as planned.
