On June 19, K-media outlet JTBC Entertainment dropped the bombshell that the iconic girl group is prepping a brand new single. Rumor has it the song will be out just before or after the start of their Seoul shows on the DEADLINE World Tour. Fans are hyped, especially since this would be their first release in about three years.

YG Entertainment didn’t exactly confirm the news, but they didn’t deny it either! When contacted by Top Star News, a YG rep said to wait for official promotional material. This might mean something is cooking up in the BLACKPINK kitchen! JTBC also reported that insiders described the new track as having a fresh vibe while still keeping that signature BLACKPINK flavor.
This possible comeback follows their group contract renewal with YG, while each member still handles solo projects in different companies, they remain in the agency for group activities. Their last drop was “Born Pink” back in September 2022, so a new single is long overdue. Still, fans want more: a full album, a proper rollout, and not just one track. Until YG makes a real announcement, it’s all tea and speculation, but let’s be honest, July might just be BLACKPINKtastic.
