Avril Lavigne released a big news this Wednesday, November 3rd, that has to do with her new album/single. She signed a contract with a new record label, DTA Records, a label run by Travis Barker, created in 2019 in partnership with Elektra Music Group and distributed by Warner Music Group.

Through social networks, she posted photos from the moment of signing the contract.

The artist was next to the new “boss”, Travis Barker, in an atmosphere of celebration. There was cake, champagne and even decorative balloons.

During her career, Avril Lavigne worked for Arista, RCA, Epic and BMG. So this will be the farm she works with.

The fans are for the partnership to be successful. Avril Lavigne hinted in the Instagram caption that her new single is due out very soon.

In other releated news, Avril Lavigne gave more details about her long-awaited new album backstage at VMA 2021, which took place on Sunday, October 13th. She said that the style will really be pop-punk, recalling more the beginning of her career with the albums “Let Go” and “Under My Skin”. Afterwards, it became more poppy, but the fans’ desire was always to go back to rock.

Among the collaborators are John Feldmann (vocalist for the band Goldfinger) and Mod Sun, her current boyfriend. Among the vocal participations, she said that she will sing with Machine Gun Kelly, a rapper who changed his style and went into rock.
