Only seven days after THE BLACK LABEL unveiled its co-ed rookie group ALLDAY PROJECT, Australian rapper Allday, born Tomas Henry Gaynor, started some serious drama. On June 28, 2025, he blasted a Facebook post claiming exclusive rights to the name Allday, trademarked in Australia on June 20, 2021, and later in the United States. He said that even though he lacks the streams the group has, he still exists and will protect his brand.

Rapper Allday fires at ALLDAY Project over trademark:

"I have a trademark on the name Allday. Maybe I don't have 20B streams like that kpop **** which mostly sucks by the way. But I do exist and own the trademark to my name. Prepare for the greatest legal battle of all time." pic.twitter.com/B9eBncwR53

The statement came with a threat if the group kept using the “ALLDAY” name. He also sparked controversy by calling their music trash, provoking outrage among K-pop stans. Within hours, his socials flooded with purple heart emojis, clown memes, and a blend of threats and apologies. Allday admitted the backlash left him disheartened, yet he remains convinced a court would side with him.

However, trademark experts are not so sure. The names differ slightly, the genres sit in separate lanes, and ALLDAY PROJECT performs primarily in South Korea. Unless the rapper registers more territories or proves direct market overlap, winning the case might not be as easy to win. Meanwhile, ALLDAY PROJECT is moving forward with debut promotions.  Whether this squabble becomes a full-scale courtroom drama or not, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for any updates.
