BTS‘ comeback is approaching and this means a time of theories among ARMY. Before the debates over the concept, the fandom believed that there would be spoilers for the Bangtan subunits on the South Korean group’s social media. The performance of these tracks has gone viral among fans of the septet.
Sub-units are some BTS songs prepared by all seven members and some by just the group. On the album Map of the soul 7, for example, it features “00.00 (Zero O’Clock)” from the vocal line, “Ugh” from the rap line, “Respect” from RM and Suga, and “Friends” from V and Jimin.
The formation of subunits allows to see new musical dynamics in the whole. Although at the moment only the comeback date is known, ARMY is attentive to possible spoilers of the album’s content.
An Internet user found a curiosity that could be related to the subunits.
These are the profile photos of the seven members of BTS. On April 21st, Taehyung updated his picture on Instagram and that’s when a particular color association was completed.

According to this theory that is already going viral among fans, a subunit of RM, V and Jungkook, who have black and white profile photos, could be prepared. On the other hand, Jin and Suga share the blue tone and could team up on a song. With the same premise, the other subunit would be formed by Jimin and J-Hope.

As BTS’ comeback will be on June 10, 2022, there is still plenty of time to find out if the fandom was right with their predictions. The septet has not officially introduced any subunits; however, clear groupings of idols can be found, such as: the rap line, the maknae line, 3J, and the vocal line.
