One of the most famous singers of her time is undoubtedly Amy Winehouse, who with just a few songs managed to conquer the whole world due to her characteristic voice that made a large number of people enter into new musical options.

Biopic that will narrate the personal and professional life of singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse, who started as a jazz singer to become a worldwide superstar of music winner of several Grammy awards. Her life was cut short in 2011 at the age of 27 caused by a life full of alcohol and drug use and abuse.

The film is directed by: Sam Taylor-Johnson, Starring: Marisa Abela, Jack O’Connell, Lesley Manville, Eddie Marsan and set for an Opening on: May 10, 2024 The 26-year-old English actress has been chosen to play Amy Winehouse, the legendary soul singer, on the big screen. The actress has been in productions such as COBRA, Industry, She Love and we saw her in the Barbie movie in 2023.

The script has been written by Matt Greenhalgh and the project is now moving quickly after Taylor-Johnson boarded the film. Studiocanal is producing with Alison Owen and Debra Hayward along with Tracey Seaward. Several projects, including one starring Noomi Rapace by Lotus Entertainment, were in development after his death in the summer of 2011, but none of them ever made it to fruition. This film that is in the works is being made with the full support of Amy Winehouse’s estate and producers.
