MBC’s music program, Show! Music Core has had one of the most entertaining episodes to date with an amazing set of performers that lit up the stage. In addition, AKMU has earned their crown title with their iconic hit song, “Paradise of Rumors,” marking a brand new achievement for the duo.
On May 9 KST, a new episode of Music Core was broadcast, showcasing the talent of Lee Ye Joon, YUHZ, UNCHILD, KIIRAS, NAZE, 82MAJOR, Jadu, CORTIS, BABYMONSTER, CRAVITY, ILLIT, TWS, NCT WISH, and other amazing Kpop acts that brought joy to the audience with their amazing live performances.
As usual, the hosts took over the stage to make the final announcement of the night, who’s going to take the ultimate win in the music circuit. This time, the No.1 candidates were AKMU’s “Paradise of Rumors,” YENA’s “Catch Catch,” and TWS’s “You, You.” After combining physical album sales, digital streaming scores, and live voting results, AKMU’s “Paradise of Rumors” emerged victorious with a total of 5,733 points.
Unfortunately, AKMU weren’t there to receive the recognition, but proved their strong digital dominance even without a broadcast appearance. In addition, the K-Chart race has showcased that emerging artists are earning a huge spot among other legends in the Kpop scene, breaking barriers and expanding the genre.
