During a recent live stream, Aespa‘s Giselle shares moving advice for gay people who are still in the closet, showing her sincere support as a community ally who understands how difficult it can be.
On June 6th, the K-Pop idol went live through her Instagram account and openly spoke with fans about her feelings, weight, appearance and more, answering with honesty all her fans’ questions, including a message to the LGBTQ+ community.
With the beginning of Pride Month, many have questions about her position, and one fan asked to give advice to a gay person who’s not out yet to his family, which she responded to by focusing on feeling ready and the person’s personal well-being:
“For whatever reason you’re not coming out to your family, I would say follow your intuition; don’t force anything.
But just don’t ever hate yourself or feel wrong about anything, ’cause we love any kind of sexuality; you’re not wrong, and you’re very loved. There are a lot of gay people out there, and I hope you find a good partner.”
