Rei, a member of the famous KPOP girl group IVE, will temporarily suspend her activities due to a health problem, according to a statement released on Tuesday, April the 11th by her representation agency, Starship Entertainment.
“Rei recently visited a hospital as she had experienced abnormal symptoms, such as chest palpitations and shortness of breath, and a doctor advised her that she needed treatment and rest,” the agency said in an online statement for the group’s fans.
It also explained that, after discussing it sufficiently with Rei, it has decided the temporary suspension of her activities so that she can recover her health, since due to the intense schedules, her situation could worsen and her future in the group would be compromised.

Due to health reasons, Rei participated, on Monday, only in the photo session during a press conference at the promotions of the group’s latest comeback at a hotel in Seoul to promote the group’s first full-length album.
The agency said that IVE will work as a five-piece group, without Rei, for the time being. Of course, this has made the group’s fans really sad since the girls currently have an active schedule due to the release of their first full-length album ‘I’ve IVE’.
