Adele is about to wrap up her successful Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele, which has been characterized and gone viral several times for her amazing vocals and touching moments with the public. In one of her latest shows, the singer revealed her position in regard to Shakira and Gerard Piqué’s divorce scandal.
The British megastar asked someone in the audience about her favorite artists and the fan answered that she liked Shakira. Adele immediately commented that she had watched The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the night before. The Colombian singer was the guest star and performed for the first time her international hit, Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, with Bizarrap.
The song is a direct diss at Pique who cheated on Shakira with Clara Chía, a Spanish model, and this is what Adele had to say about it:
Oh, I saw her performance last night on Jimmy Fallon … Oh, her ex-husband’s in trouble!
Her reaction to the performance does not come as a surprise as Adele has had several heartbreaks in the past. Most of her successful songs touch on the same topic, so it was expected that she would support Shakira and be on her side during all of this.
