In a recent appearance, EXO‘s Suho reflects on his leadership regrets while praising SEVENTEEN‘s unity, which kept them together since their debut.
On September 21st, the YouTube channel ‘Channel Bandal‘ released a new video reuniring K-Pop leaders from various boy groups, including the mentioned idol, SEVENTEEN‘s S.Coups, BOYNEXTDOOR‘s Jaehyun, and Sechs Kies‘ Jiwon, to talk about the challenges of their position.
During their conversation, the artists collectively praised S. Coups’ leadership for managing to keep 13 members together over 10 years; they applauded him for leading SEVENTEEN to global success without any member stepping away.
After that, Suho admitted to having some regrets about his work as EXO leader: “I sometimes feel regret. I wonder if I should have led like S.Coups,” in particular because EXO debuted as a 12-member group but turned into nine members after Kris, Luhan, and Tao left and how military service has hindered their group’s comeback.
Senior Jiwon comforted him, saying, “You’ve led EXO in your own way all this time,” but these words also show Suho’s huge admiration for his colleague and younger generations’ style to lead their groups with success and unity.
