Amid their ‘THIS IS FOR‘ World Tour, TWICE sets a historic record for K-pop girl groups, proving their impact in the American music industry is leaving a mark for future generations.

The current tour of the girl group included a North American leg, which ran from January through April 18 in Austin and included a total of 35 performances across 20 cities, some of which received additional dates due to the demand.

During this phase, TWICE received a remarkable 550,000 attendees, becoming the K-pop girl group with the highest concert attendance in the region to date, surpassing BLACKPINK, which reached 540,000 attendees in 19 shows in this region.

The scale of attendance at the girl group’s concerts increased with the use of stadiums such as MetLife Stadium and SoFi Stadium, and they were also the first K-pop girl group to use a 360-degree stage in all their venues, maximizing the venue’s capacity.

In addition, the group initially planned to do 22 concerts in North America, but due to high demand, 13 additional performances were added, making them the K-pop group with the most concerts in the region on a single tour.
