Before heading off to military service, NCT’s Doyoung showed that his heart is just as powerful as his voice! On October 31, 2025, the NCT vocalist donated 100 million KRW (roughly 69,974 USD) to World Vision, an organization that improves children’s education around the world. His donation will help build a school in Bugondo Village, Uganda, giving better opportunities to about 1,000 students.

This year, Doyoung has been focused on his solo career outside of the NCT brand. The singer toured major Asian cities, including Seoul, Singapore, Macau, and Tokyo, wrapping up encore shows between October 9 and 11 in South Korea. The singer said he hoped the love he received from fans could become energy for children chasing their dreams in the classroom.
“As I conclude my second tour, I’m grateful to give back even a little of the love I’ve received from fans around the world. I hope this new school becomes a starting point for children to grow and chase their dreams.”
Meanwhile, Doyoung will enlist on December 8, 2025, serving as an active-duty soldier until June 7, 2027. His fellow NCT bandmate Jungwoo will also join the Army Band on the same day. The NCT 127 and NCT group have been going through a slower time after many of its member initiated their military services. It’s unclear when the time of their return will be, but fans remain supportive as the members start their service eras.
