Who would’ve thought KPop Demon Hunters could have such an experienced voice cast! This time, we’re getting to know Ahn Hyo Seop, known for his K-Drama roles. While Andrew Choi sings for Jinu, it’s Ahn’s voice that brings the emotional depth, playing a villain torn between his past and his memories. His voice has fans buzzing, wanting to know more about the actor behind the character.

Ahn’s journey wasn’t easy! Born in South Korea, he moved to Toronto at age seven, then returned alone at 17 to chase his K-pop dreams. He trained under JYP Entertainment and even shared a room with GOT7’s Jackson Wang. Despite practicing with the group, he didn’t make the final cut due to his height. But instead of giving up, Ahn pivoted to acting, debuting in 2015. He also had a brief music stint with the group One O One before focusing on drama roles.
Beyond voicing characters, he’s captured hearts in A Business Proposal, Dr. Romantic, and A Time Called You. Most recently, the actor dropped a cover of the duet “Free,” one of the tracks from KPop Demon Hunters, and even teased fans by singing parts of Jinu’s lines online. Topping things off, he’s set to appear in the movie Omniscient Reader: The Prophet alongside big names like Lee Min-ho and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
