BTS’ Jungkook is just days away from stepping back into civilian life, and honestly? We’re already throwing him a hero’s welcome! With his military discharge set for June 10, 2025, the vibes around Yeoncheon are giving a “military festival.” And the best part? Fellow soldiers are also lining up to celebrate the Golden Maknae’s big return.
The news exploded online after Sports Donga reported on June 5 that excitement for Jungkook’s discharge was trending hard across social media. One fanbase, Jungkook Supporters, launched their fifth major project titled “Golden Return – Jungkook”, in which over 50 congratulatory banners now decorate an area near his base in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. All are gestures to celebrate not just his return but also BTS’ 12th debut anniversary happening this month.

But it’s not only the die-hard ARMY pulling out the streamers. Photos have surfaced of uniformed soldiers gathering, smiling, and even posing with fan-made decorations in Yeoncheon, clearly just as hyped for Jungkook’s release as the rest of the fandom. Inside cafés and buildings near the base, fans have left sweet notes, gifts, and cardboard cutouts that show deep appreciation for the idol.
What makes this moment extra emotional is that Jungkook isn’t coming back alone. His discharge lines up with the rest of the BTS members also finishing their service, with Jimin returning on June 10, RM and V on June 11, and Suga on June 21. The return of the Golden Maknae is shaping up to be a memorable moment, and both fans and soldiers are counting every last second!
