Many times we do not know what are the productions that are around us, but suddenly images and trailers come out that excite everyone, and that has been the case of a new movie with a lot of action that is based on a famous video game and that gathered great Hollywood talents in the same space and not only talking about the on-screen talents such as actors, but also the creative talents that are behind.
Naturally, the Gearbox video game franchise serves as the inspiration for the Eli Roth-directed film Borderlands. The pretty colorful movie, will be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on August 9, 2024.
If you have no idea about what Borderlands is about, here is the synopsis by Film Affinity:
Lilith, an infamous treasure hunter with a mysterious past, returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the mighty Atlas. To do so, she forms an unexpected alliance with a motley crew of misfits: Roland, a former elite mercenary now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina, a pre-teen feral demolitionist; Krieg, Tina’s muscular protector; the scientist Tannis; and Claptrap, a very peculiar robot. These strange heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands, but they will fight for something else: each other.
