Day 1 of the 2023 MAMA Awards culminated with the biggest names in the Kpop game taking home super important awards and blessing us with eye-catching performances. The event was held in Japan at the Tokyo Dome, making this the first time a South Korean event is hosted in such a massive venue.
Day 1 came packed with surprises from our favorite idols, including the Samsung Galaxy Worldwide Icon of the Year, which BTS received! Even though the group as a whole is on a hiatus (its members are fulfilling their military duties and working on solo projects), they are still a major force in the Kpop industry.
