A man was caught being racist against BLACKPINK‘s Rosé, as she was leaving the basketball game in New York, USA. The game was held at Madison Square Garden and the singer was seen sitting in the bleachers. It appears that the idol attended the game to cheer on the NY Knicks, as basketball player Derrick Rose had sent the singer a jersey with her name on it before the game.

In addition to Rosé, several artists participated in the event, such as Lorde and comedian Chris Rock. Due to the number of celebrities who watched the game, the exit of the venue was packed with fans and reporters trying to watch them leave. In a video shared on TikTok, fans are heard talking to each other after seeing Rosé leaving the event.

When Rosé leaves and greets the fans, a voice can be heard asking, “Who is she? Who is she?” While his first questions were understandable, fans were immediately outraged when he made a racist comment. The man answered his own question and called Rosé “Ling Ling.” The term is often used as a racial slur against Asians in the United States.

.

The man tried to make a racist ‘joke’ against Rosé and was exposed on social media. Many wondered if the singer heard the man’s racist words against her. While it appears that she did not pay attention to her slander at the time, people speculate that there is a possibility that she heard it and chose to ignore it.
