BTS became a victim of xenophobia again. YouTubers from the Dominican Republic made negative comments and ARMY comes out to defend idols. The Dominican Republic is in the sights of ARMY after some journalists from that country spread prejudices in comments against BTS.

The fans denounce the channel Estonoesradio for xenophobia and await their public apologies as a means of communication. After the xenophobic attack that Bangtan received by La Mega de Colombia, which reached the ears of South Korea and the conduct of some presenters was repudiated, the ARMYs are once again in the fight to undermine racism against their idols.

This new case was presented on the YouTube channel Estonoesradio, where the hosts compared BTS with a “religion” because of the large community of fans they have around the world. The main presenter of this sextet, dedicated to podcasts, and identified as Ariel Santana wanted to compare BTS with Backstreet Boys, but changing the nationality of the South Korean members.

.

Instead of saying that they are from South Korea, the driver said they were Chinese and used a derogatory tone in his YouTube video. Ariel Santana was not the only one to make xenophobic comments, his companions also continued with the attack. Hony Estrella brought to the table the issue of plastic surgery alleging that Korean artists went to this process “to look like Americans.”

Continuing with the attack of xenophobia, Pedro Manuel Casals disparaged the intellect of ARMY and said that “they listened to this song without understanding what their idols were saying”. Without an eagerness to be insulted, as they did on Estonoesradio, ARMYs launched a campaign to demand that the YouTube channel apologize to BTS and their fans.

"Muchas veces NO es lo que se dice, sino COMO se dice". A veces textualmente no parecen ofensivos, pero se nota la mezcla de burla y desprecio bajo esas palabras.

For this reason, they promoted the hashtags: #EstoNoEsRadioXenofobico, #XenophobiaIsNotHumor, #RacismlsNotAnOpinion and #StopAsianHate. Likewise, ARMY Dominican Republic fanbase said:

They don’t know how much shame I feel that they do this kind of thing in my country. This is not funny at all, they are making fun of it and we demand an apology. () They deserve respect,” wrote one user. Fans question that announcers use their platform to spread misinformation and prejudice against Korean artists.
