Rapper Namewee under fire for sexualizing BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK fans are very protective, and Malaysian rapper Namewee was apparently unaware of this. He has been receiving a lot of criticism from the BLINKs after he sexualized the K-Pop girl group in a new song called “You know who is my father?”.

The rap lyrics say the following (in Mandarin): “I always watch BLACKPINK and masturbate.” Too sexual for South Korean culture.

Fans of the group rebelled and made massive complaints on the song’s YouTube clip. They also reported the content to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s agency, asking for action.

Continue to report the video. Hello @ygent_official how about do something about this??

Meanwhile, Namewee’s video continues to gain more attention and increase its number of views. At the time this article closes, there are already four million hits, above the average of what the rapper usually achieves.

.

To make matters worse, Namewee saw the negative repercussions among the BLINKs and decided to respond. He mocked the uproar further annoying the fandom with a comment on the video itself.

In addition, he also mocking the complaints on Facebook:

Hello BLACKPINK fans. Thank you for giving me an audience.

Please continue! How about a while since I was attacked by so many people for a song I wrote. My opponents this time are BLACKPINK fans.

C

I want to thank the successes
,” he wrote.

I have been attacked by BLACKPINK fans for the past two days and there is no sign that they are going to stop. Even his agency came and encouraged his fans to do this… he added. It’s a shame that people don’t even understand what the song is about.”

"It's only pity that they can't even understand what the song is about to express."

It’s understandable because they get really excited when they listen to K-Pop and they don’t understand any Korean. It’s how excited I get when I watch Japanese porn movies without understanding Japanese,” he concluded.
