XG has been gaining momentum since the release of their album, “THE CORE.” Despite being on a world tour right now, the controversy has tainted the Japan stop, as their producer has been arrested on drug possession charges.
Simon, the 39-year-old producer behind XG’s hits and a former member of boy group Dalmatian, is currently facing charges of drug possession before the Japanese authorities.
According to Asahi Shimbun, Tokyo Metropolitan Police arrested Simon, along with three other suspects, at a hotel in Nagoya on February 23 for alleged violations of Japan’s Narcotics Control Act.
Police reports they received a tip that the group had used drugs, including cocaine, while staying at the hotel. In addition, it was reported that they found seized cocaine and marijuana at the scene. Simon was taken into custody in the early hours of the morning, and there’s still no information about what’s going to happen with this ongoing case.
