A cinematic welcome to MISAMO’s new era
TWICE’s powerhouse trio MISAMO (made up of Mina, Sana, and Momo), is officially stepping into their next act. Their first Japanese full-length album titled “PLAY” arrives on February 4, 2026, and fans got their first taste when JYP Entertainment dropped a trailer and stills on Nov. 21 through TWICE’s Japan platforms.
The teaser goes full cinematic mode, opening with Mina greeting viewers with “Welcome to the stage,” before flashing posters from their past projects, “Masterpiece” and “HAUTE COUTURE.” Suddenly, the scene transforms as MISAMO appear in elegant dresses, watching their suited alter egos go into the spotlight. The narration ends with the line “Now, let reality slip away and take the stage. Play it until you are it.”
A visual tease that hints at big plans
The photos released alongside the trailer channel massive energy, hinting that MISAMO are ready to “play” a fully realized body of work. The trio debuted as a TWICE sub-unit in July 2023 with their first mini album “Masterpiece”, then returned with the fashion-forward “HAUTE COUTURE” in November 2024. Since then, MISAMO have consistently delivered a polished, luxe concept, and their upcoming full album lands about two years and seven months after their Japanese debut.
A touring legacy and what comes next
Outside the studio, MISAMO proved their massive demand with the MISAMO JAPAN DOME TOUR 2024 “HAUTE COUTURE”, which wrapped up in January 2024 and drew an impressive 250,000 fans, including a headline stop at Tokyo Dome. With numbers like that, expectations for “PLAY” are through the roof. Additional details are still under wraps, but if the dramatic trailer is any indication, MISAMO is gearing up for a bold, full-scale comeback era that blends elegance with a touch of cinematic flair.
