This is why BLACKPINK’s Jennie says her upcoming EP comes from a very personal place

The BLACKPINK star shared that “Fallen Angel” represents her most honest form of self-expression

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is getting ready to release her new solo EP, “Fallen Angel,” on August 28, 2026. The KPop superstar says the project means more to her than simply releasing new music. When the EP was announced on August 21, 2026, her self-founded label Odd Atelier described it as coming from “a very personal place” and representing Jenne’s truest form of self-expression.

“This EP comes from a very personal place with the truest self-expression,” the announcement said about the upcoming project. “A gift from JENNIE, with love.”

The digital 3-track EP will contain “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN,” and “Less Than a Lover,” which was previously released as a single on July 24, 2026. The cover art was also revealed alongside the song titles and the release date. This will mark Jennie’s first musical project in 2026, following the success of her debut solo album, “Ruby,” and her remix collaboration with Tame Impala, “Dracula.”

The BLACKPINK member is also giving the project a strong visual identity. A music video for “FALLEN ANGEL” will arrive on August 28, 2026, accompanying the EP. Its teaser includes strange houses, dramatic rain, and different couples. The KPop sensation appears with her eyes closed as she looks up to the sky. Then, the clip cuts to Jennie in two versions: a ‘20s look and a current-looking version of the singer. The teaser ends as Jennie looks straight into the camera, adding an intriguing final touch.
