This is the reason why NewJeans’ anniversary videos have fans talking

ADOR released new content from the group, but the agency says the future is still under discussion

NewJeans has returned to the spotlight with their first content as a group in more than a year, yet the quartet’s future remains uncertain. At midnight on July 22, 2026, their company, ADOR, released five new videos on NewJeans’ official YouTube channel to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the group’s debut. The release included one video featuring the members together, four individual clips, and a set of new photos. However, fans quickly decided to ask questions about Minji, as her future with ADOR has not been officially confirmed. While the new videos and photos hinted at a possible group comeback, the company clarified that no final decisions have been made regarding NewJeans’ future activities.

“The content was created to commemorate NewJeans’ fourth debut anniversary,” the agency told The Korea Herald on June 22, 2026. “Updates regarding the group’s future activities will be shared once discussions with the members have been concluded.”

ADOR previously stated that Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni had returned to the company, while talks with Minji were still ongoing. Danielle’s contract was terminated in December 2025, with the agency removing her from the girl group. Despite no longer being a NewJeans member, the artist marked the occasion with her own message on Instagram on June 21, 2026, saying: “Life gets cloudy sometimes, but the light always finds its way back in. Until then, keep shining. Forever grateful.”

The conflict between NewJeans and ADOR began after former CEO Min Hee Jin was removed from the company. In November 2024, the members announced they wanted to end their exclusive contracts, leading to a lengthy legal dispute. Courts later ruled in favor of ADOR, including an injunction issued in March 2025 that restricted the artists from pursuing independent activities and leaving the company. Rumors about a comeback have continued to grow in recent months. In May 2026, what appeared to be a recording schedule connected to NewJeans surfaced from a studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, sparking speculation that new music from the 4-member team was on the way.
