This is how BTS matched a 20-week Billboard record with “Swim”

The group’s latest single has now spent as many weeks on the Hot 100 as their 2021 hit “Butter”

BTS has reached yet another Billboard achievement with their smash hit single “Swim,” which has now spent 20 weeks on the Hot 100. On the chart dated August 15, 2026, the track ranked at #91. This milestone matches the 20-week run recorded by “Butter,” the boy group’s massive 2021 hit. This is another long-lasting entry on Billboard’s most important chart in the United States for the seven-member team.

The song also continues to climb the rankings on Billboard’s global chart. The song placed at #4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and #12 on the Global 200. “Swim” is the main single from BTS’ fifth studio album, “ARIRANG,” which moved up one position to #14 on the Billboard 200 on the week of August 15, 2026. The album originally debuted at #1 and remained at the top for three weeks, setting a record for KPop acts. Simultaneously,  “Swim” debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, becoming BTS’s seventh track to reach the summit of that chart.

This chart success comes as BTS continues their ongoing world tour. The group is scheduled to visit Texas during the weekend following the August 15, 2026, chart and will then travel to Toronto the next week. The tour will give fans the chance to enjoy “ARIRANG” live while the album and its lead single continue to achieve strong results in the United States and the global charts.
