Megan recently revealed that being part of KATSEYE has helped her feel more comfortable showing her real personality, according to an August 12, 2026, interview with PEOPLE. In addition, the 20- year-old entertainer discusses her mental health and her fear of being seen as “strange” or “too much” in the group’s first film, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS. Speaking before the film’s premiere on August 12, 2026, the pop star said those worries still appear at times, but they no longer have control over her.
“I’m very outgoing, but at the same time, some people can think that could be too much. But these girls never make me feel like I’m being too much,” Megan revealed.
Megan explained that the people around her have played a key role in helping her feel safer and more comfortable as a person. She specifically credited her fellow KATSEYE members Yoonchae, Danielai, Lara, Sophia, and Manon with creating an environment where she can be herself. According to Megan, the six girls have made a place where she feels supported, comfortable, and accepted, and encouraged to show the best side of herself.
“I’m very outgoing, but at the same time, some people can think that could be too much. But these girls never make me feel like I’m being too much,” she told PEOPLE. “So I think the best thing that really helped me was just surrounding myself with the right people.”
Meanwhile, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS follows the group during a new stage of their career and highlights the group’s connection with fans around the world. The film includes never-seen footage and personal interviews with the KATSEYE girls. Manon, who was put on hiatus in February 2026, does not appear in interviews. However, she can be spotted in the movie. Similarly, Sophia also began a hiatus in August 2026 to focus on her health and recover, although she is prominently featured in the film. The movie is currently playing in select theaters and gives fans a closer look at KATSEYE beyond their lives on stage.
