Billboard announced on March 11, 2026, that women from KPop Demon Hunters, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami are its Women of the Year for 2026. The three singers are the singing voices behind HUNTR/X, the girl group featured in the Netflix hit, KPop Demon Hunters.
They will receive the honor at the Billboard Women in Music ceremony on April 29, 2026, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Other artists that will also be honored include Teyana Taylor, Tate McRae, Ella Langley, Kehlani, Laufey, Mariah the Scientist, Thalia, and Zara Larsson. Keke Palmer will host the ceremony, perform during the show, and the event will stream live on Billboard’s website and YouTube channel.
Billboard executive Leila Cobo said the trio stood out during a year filled with major achievements. She also praised their chart success and their strong image of female success in music and entertainment.
“In just the past year, the music of HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters has produced true global anthems, and the individual artistry of EJAE, REI AMI and AUDREY NUNA has been an inspiration for millions of young people around the world,” she said. “We look forward to celebrating their collective impact, alongside the other remarkable honorees, at our annual Women in Music event.”
Over the past year, the music connected to KPop Demon Hunters’ HUNTR/X became widely popular around the world. The group’s song “Golden” spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the soundtrack album reached the top of the Billboard 200. In addition, “Golden” won at the Grammy Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Golden Globes, and both the movie and the soundtrack are up for several Oscar nominations.
