ENHYPEN addresses fans after the company’s announcement

The remaining members of ENHYPEN spoke to fans on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after BELIFT LAB announced that former member Heeseung would be exiting the boy band. The statement came from Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki, who posted a joint message on X just hours after the company’s statement.

In their notice, the remaining members said they understood how shocked fans must have felt upon learning that Heeseung was leaving. They also explained that their biggest concern was how ENGENE, the group’s fandom, would react. Additionally, they explained that it hurt them to see fans feeling worried and upset. At the same time, they expressed their respect for Heeseung’s decision.

“Seeing ENGENE worry and struggle is the greatest pain for us,” the sextet continued. “The time we’ve spent together up until now is precious beyond words. That’s why we respect and support HEESEUNG hyung’s choice and new beginning that we’ve shared all this time.”

BELIFT LAB says the decision followed a long discussion

Earlier that same day, BELIFT LAB released a longer statement saying that Heeseung would be leaving ENHYPEN to focus on solo activities. The company revealed that the decision came after extensive deliberation and asked fans to understand that the choice was made with both Heeseung’s and ENHYPEN’s futures in mind. The former member later shared a message on Weverse, saying he had thought long and hard before moving in the direction the company suggested for his solo career.

Even though the official statements tried to present the change as a considered step after long discussions, the news still came as a surprise because Heeseung had been part of the group for six years, and there were no signs he would leave. Typically, when a member of a KPop band exits a band, there is a previous background, such as an indefinite hiatus or a controversy that might add on to the decision to leave a group permanently.

Fans react with concern as the group promises to grow stronger

After the announcement, many fans expressed sadness, concern, and confusion online. Some wondered whether there was more behind the decision and questioned if Heeseung had been pressured to leave by the company. Others focused mainly on the emotional impact of seeing ENHYPEN continue with a changed lineup of six members.

“To ease ENGENE’s worries even a little and create happy days for ENGENE every day, we ENHYPEN will grow even more from now on.”

In response, the members tried to reassure ENGENE by saying they would work hard to grow even more from now on. They told fans that they want to ease their worries and create happier days ahead. The statement ended with a promise that the group would become stronger wherever they are and would never forget their gratitude.

“Anytime, anywhere, we’ll become stronger and never forget our gratitude,” the group concluded. “We’re always thankful and we love you, ENGENE.”
