Taylor Swift is officially heading back to the CMA Awards. On September 10, 2026, the artist shared via Instagram Stories that she will attend the 60th annual ceremony in Nashville on November 18. Her appearance will mark her first time at Country Music’s Biggest Night in 10 years. The pop-country star confirmed her attendance following the sucess of her latest country chart-topper, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” taking the announcement to her Instagram Stories.

The artist is nominated for Single of the Year thanks to “I Knew It, I Knew You,” a song she wrote for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. Taylor is also competing against Ella Langley’s “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas,” Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo,” and Cody Johnson’s “The Fall” in the same category. If she wins, the singer would bring her career total to 13 CMA Awards. She currently has 12, including the Horizon Award she received in 2007, which is currently known as the New Artist of the Year Award.
Her return to the awards show comes during a strong period for country popularity in the charts and Taylor Swift’s recent comeback to that genre. “I Knew It, I Knew You,” recently peaked at #1 on U.S. country radio, becoming her first song to top the format in 13 years. The track is her 13th #1 as a solo artist and 14th overall. Taylor Swift last attended the CMAs in 2016, when she presented Garth Brooks with the Entertainer of the Year Award. The 2026 ceremony will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and will be hosted by Wilson on November 18.
