Taylor Swift has once again taken over the music world! Her latest single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” from her 12th studio album “The Life of a Showgirl,” just became the most-streamed song in a single week on Spotify. The pop track surpassed Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” which had held the record since January 2024 with more than 101 million streams.
Released on October 3, 2025, “The Life of Ophelia” immediately stood up among the other album tracks. It earned the highest number of streams in a single day on the platform, breaking the record Taylor Swift herself set in 2024 with “Fortnight.” Before that, Adele’s “Easy on Me” held the crown with almost 20 million plays in October 2021 on a single day.
Her album “The Life of a Showgirl” also became the most-streamed album in a single day in 2025, reaching that milestone in less than 12 hours. With over five million pre-saves before release, it was clear fans were ready. The pop star has since promoted the record on shows like The Graham Norton Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Industry watchers predict all 12 songs will take the top 12 spots on next week’s Billboard Hot 100, effectively making the release of the album a full-on event.
