Stray Kids’ leader, Bang Chan, has surprised the K-Netizens after launching legal action against anonymous “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) users accused of spreading deepfake videos that depicted him making racist remarks.
The idol insists the clips are fabricated and have damaged his reputation and mental health. Previously, Stray Kids’ Felix also addressed the matter and took legal action; the boys are not holding back to protect their own rights.
On September 5, 2025. A federal judge in California approved Bang Chan’s request to demand basic account details from “X,” including phone numbers, email, and login records to trace the individuals who made the deepfake posts.
According to documents, two accounts used AI technology to paste Bang Chan’s face onto explicit videos without consent. With the U.S. order secured, Bang Chan’s attorney can pursue the defamation case at the Seoul Eastern District Court.
