Stray Kids are using the platform and resources to help others. After the devastating Hong Kong apartment fire that claimed at least 128 lives, the group stepped forward with a meaningful act to give back to the city. Stray Kids donated approximately $128,000 to the Hong Kong Red Cross. The group expressed deep sadness over the tragedy and sent their love to the children and residents who are now facing unimaginable loss.

“We were all very heavy-hearted upon hearing the unfortunate news from Hong Kong,” Stray Kids said.

Their contribution was part of a larger response from the Korean entertainment world, with other artists also joining in. Names like aespa, who donated $64,000, and additional boy groups like RIIZE, idle, EXO CBX, and KickFlip, who provided $12,900 through World Vision Hong Kong. Major companies such as SM and JYP Entertainment added a combined $385,000 dedicated to emergency aid and recovery. The tragedy prompted the entertainers and companies to act, supporting with sincerity throughout this difficult time for the city.

The incident also placed pressure on the organizers of the MAMA Awards, which were scheduled to take place in Hong Kong that same week. CJ E and M canceled the red carpet events for both days while keeping the main ceremony in place. They promised a special moment of mourning along with a message of support for Hong Kong. They added their own pledge of $2.6 million to the government support fund.
