Think Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 is going to give you three-hour episodes? Think again! Ross Duffer, one of the show’s creators, shut down the recent buzz about these lengthy episodes. Taking things to Instagram, he said,  “lol not even close to accurate” in response to a list of supposed runtimes that had fans making guesses.

However, it made sense why some thought the finale might be longer than most movies. Especially since Season 4 was a runtime beast, and Season 5 took over a year to film. But Duffer cleared the air, and we’re now sure that the rumored lengths aren’t true. We still don’t know how long each episode will be, but don’t expect to spend an entire afternoon watching just one.

Here’s what is confirmed: Season 5 will roll out in three drops. Episodes 1 through 4 arrive on November 26. Episodes 5 to 7 land on Christmas Day. The final episode? You’ll get that on New Year’s Eve, December 31. So while they may not be mega-long, you’ll still have the perfect binge to wrap up the year.
