SEVENTEEN’s Woozi has been making waves in the Kpop scene since he announced he is ready and prepared to begin his mandatory military service. After an amazing year, full of performances with the boyband “NEW_” tour, it’s time to start a new chapter in his life.
On September 15, Woozi entered an Army recruit training center, where he will complete his basic training before being assigned to his unit to serve as an active-duty soldier. Woozi becomes the third member of SEVENTEEN to fulfill military service, following Jeonghan and Wonwoo.
Hoshi will also enlist in the South Korean military on September 16 as an active-duty soldier. While there’s a long road to walk, Woozi strongly believes this new chapter in his life will motivate him to return happy and healthy. He even addressed his military enlistment during the encore show of SEVENTEEN’s tour.
“It was my first time watching the members and CARATs smile at my music from outside the stage, and it made me very happy. I’ll take that strength with me as I enlist. I’ll serve well and return to good health.”
