A Seoul court approved ADOR’s request in February 2026 to freeze assets owned by former NewJeans member Danielle’s mother and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. Local reports released on April 29, 2026, said the claim totals 7 billion won, which is about 4.73 million dollars. The amount includes 5 billion won against Min and 2 billion won against Danielle’s mother. The measure is meant to prevent assets from being sold or hidden before the case reaches a final decision.
ADOR moved to freeze Dani’s mom and MHJ assets.
The court approved provisional seizures totaling about 7B KRW on properties owned by Min Hee-jin (5B KRW) and Danielle’s mother (2B KRW). This includes apartments, villas, and even an office. Those assets can’t be sold or used… https://t.co/8jTDzZ0Avv

The asset freeze is connected to ADOR’s 43 billion won damages lawsuit filed on December 29, 2025, against Danielle, her mother, and Min Hee Jin. The agency later requested a provisional seizure in January 2026 against Min and Danielle’s mother, but not Danielle herself. The legal battle began after NewJeans decided to try terminating their contracts in November 2024, citing breach of trust and mismanagement. ADOR responded with another lawsuit, retaining the members and confirming the validity of their contracts. In the end, the court ruled in favor of ADOR, and Hyien, Haerin, and Hanni have returned to the company, while Minji’s future in the group remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Daniele was removed from the group and sued by the company.
The case became more tense during the first preparatory hearing on March 26, 2026. ADOR asked to delay the trial for about two months, but Danielle’s side objected to the decision, saying the delay could hurt her solo career. The court rejected the request and scheduled hearings for May 14, 2026, and July 2, 2026. Since then, five ADOR attorneys resigned on April 24, 2026, and the agency is reportedly reviewing new legal representation.
