On October 17th, 2025, the Only Murders in the Building star posted a message that fans quickly connected to Hailey Bieber’s recent interview in the WSJ Magazine Innovators Issue. The Rhode Beauty founder mentioned that she disliked being pitted against other people and that “I think there is space for everybody. I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.”
Indirectly, Selena Gomez took to her own Instagram account and posted to her Story, saying, “Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s just about relevance not intelligence.” Despite the actress’s sharp words and decisive thoughts, she later deleted the Instagram Story, but not before it caught everyone’s attention. She then added:
“All brands inspire me. There is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop.”
