Selena Gomez proved once again that she’s using her platform for good. On October 29th, 2025, the “Same Old Love” singer hosted The Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles, raising over $600,000 to support global mental health programs. The event was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and featured performances by Laufey and The Marías, who joined the beauty mogul on the red carpet alongside her husband, Benny Blanco.
“This night is a celebration of how far we’ve come and a powerful reminder of how much more we can do together,” Selena Gomez revealed ahead of the event in September 2025.
The benefit supports her mission through the Rare Impact Fund, which she launched in 2020 alongside her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, to raise $100 million for mental health services and education worldwide. Last year’s gala included performances by Karol G and Teddy Swims and it brought over $2 million, showing that stars can come together to grow in impact for a good cause.
The “Only Murderers in the Building” protagonist has long been open about her struggles with depression and bipolar disorder. She’s previously shared that the cause is deeply personal. “I went a long time without understanding what I was feeling.” Through her foundation, she’s making sure young people get the attention and help they need to treat their conditions, as no one should struggle alone:
“It’s a commitment to expand access to mental health services and education for young people everywhere. Because no one — regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or background — should struggle alone.”
