During an interview for ‘TIME‘, the businesswoman and singer, Selena Gomez, revealed that at some point in her life she considered adopting and becoming a single mother, as she has a deep desire to be a mother and does not want to keep putting it off any longer.
Selena was very focused on her work projects after ending her last official relationship with singer The Weeknd. After that separation, the actress remained single for 5 years; however, she has always had in mind the idea of being a mother, so she came to a simple conclusion.
Selena Gomez said, “A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it“. Then she added, “Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone“, being very sure of her decision, yet fate had other plans for her.
Currently 31 years old, she fell in love with the renowned music producer, Benny Blanco, who previously confessed in an interview his desire to be a father: “I want to have children. That’s my next goal—to check the box. I’ve got a ton of nephews. Yeah, I love being around kids“. This goes hand in hand with Selena’s plans, so they could take that step together in the future.
