In recent reports, it was revealed that Sabrina Carpenter is set to star in and produce an ‘Alice in Wonderland‘ live-action movie and musical for Universal Pictures, generating great expectation with a new big step in her career.
According The Hollywood Reporter this project will be produced by Marc Platt, who was behind both the Broadway and screen productions of ‘Wicked’, alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton, who were behind ‘Gossip Girl’ and ‘Pretty Little Liars’. Meanwhile, Lorene Scafaria will pen and helm the feature.
Although it is currently unclear what Sabrina Carpenter is undertaking, sources say this is a passion project for her, assuring that she approached the studio about a year ago with specific ideas and a lookbook, and as the idol grew, more producers have joined.
