SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups and Mingyu just dropped some big news: they’re officially a sub-unit CxM, and their debut mini-album “Hype Vibes” is coming on September 29, 2025. Pre-orders are already up, so Carats better be clicking those “purchase” buttons now! Their name, CxM, comes straight from their initials, keeping things simple but iconic for this newly debuted sub-unit.
To launch this iconic duo, the pair just dropped a teaser trailer filmed in Los Angeles, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. The clip shows the two idols cruising through the city, hitting the beach, and partying with strangers as if it’s they’re living their best summer. The tracklist for their upcoming project is still a mystery, but if the teaser is any indication, it’ll definitely be fun, energetic, and carefree.
This isn’t the first time the SEVENTEEN members have decided to give fans a new perspective into their world with a sub-unit. Just look at BSS (with members DK, Seungkwan, and Hoshi). Then there’s JxW (with Jeonghan and Wonwoo). The third sub-unit is Hoshi X Woozi, and now S.Coups and Mingyu are bringing their own flavor into the mix. The timing is tight, however, as Mngyu will eventually enlist for military service, but no date has been set. Still, this crossover is promising to serve Carats like never before!
